Club Secretaries Monthly Report-August MGOC
The brilliant weather in June brought a few cars out of the garage with a visit to Rocester where there was an array of different vehicles & many different tractors of varying ages.  Then a few members paid a visit to Wollaton Park which was a fantastic day out, the natural history museum there was very interesting & a walk around the park which is home to many deer which are obviously used to people as you could get very close to them. We had a large turnout to the Carsington Water show, which again was a fantastic day out with many different vehicles on display.  We had a brilliant spot on the waters edge. The beginning of July saw several cars enter the Serpentine charity road run starting from the Dome in Buxton, driving around the Peak District and finishing in the Pavillion Gardens in Buxton, a very enjoyable and scenic day.  Some members attended the 1st car show at Belvoir Castle which was again a brilliant show with many cars from different decades set in beautiful surroundings.Unfortunately the trip to Barmouth had to be cancelled due to heavy rain and storms which after weeks of lovely sunny weather was rather disappointing.
We welcome any MG enthusiast or MG owner to our club. From the MGA through to the modern MG's.
Happy and safe motoring
